Motorsports

Riding dirt bikes exert high levels of forces on the knee and put massive physical demands on equipment. The construction of the CTi makes it ideal for these activities and continues to be the number one choice of professionals since 1983.

The MX kit, which includes a Patella Cup, Gear Guards and Undersleeve, should be selected to provide additional protection.

BMX and mountain bike

Bikers, exert high levels of forces on their knees as well as on their equipment. The construction of the CTi combines lightweight and super strong materials for maximum support.

The CTi braces have the advantage of having no rigid components on the upper inner side (medial) or across the back (posterior), which keeps the rider streamlined to the bike and eliminates pinching when pedaling or digging in between the seat, brace and leg.

There is an optional Patella Cup available, which is ideal for protecting the knee cap from stones and sharp objects.

Surfing, wakeboarding, and kitesurfing

Wakeboarders and surfers are constantly pushing the boundaries in their pursuit of ever more impressive tricks, which puts them at increased risk of knee injuries.

The streamlined frame shape and hinge design (especially on the medial side) of the CTi contour closely with the leg. This keeps the brace very low-profile and limits the drag in the water when paddling and snapping up on waves.

CTi can be ordered with an Anti-Migration System (AMS) at an additional cost. This comfortable and completely circumferential neoprene padding configuration virtually eliminates brace slippage by wrapping completely over and around the belly of the calf, eliminating the annoying hassle of having to constantly adjust your brace in the water.

CTi can be used with wetsuit:

Simply remove the standard padding from the brace (attached via hook and loop) and apply the brace over the top of the wetsuit. The wetsuit replaces the padding. Optional non slip wraps are available should extra anchorage be required to prevent slippage.

The CTi Custom Standard and Super Short models are all recommended for wakeboarding. Non-corrosive materials make the CTi ideal for surfing or wakeboarding. Simply rinse out with fresh water after use.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders are at increased risk of knee injury due to the nature of the tricks that characterize the sport. CTi features specific design advantages and/or adjustments that can be made to optimize performance for snowboarding.

The upper portion of the CTi brace frame can be flared out to accommodate larger quads (common among snowboarders) and to reduce rubbing and bruising when landing tricks in deep flexion (squat).

CTi can be ordered with an Anti-Migration System (AMS) at an additional cost. This comfortable neoprene padding configuration virtually eliminates brace slippage, eliminating the annoying hassle of having to constantly adjust your brace under your layers and outerwear. CTi has no rigid components across the posterior (back) side of the brace, so you won’t experience pinching or cramping when squatting to land a trick or sitting on a lift.

Skateboarding

The CTi‘s basic frame design functions very well for skating as the streamlined frame shape and hinge design (especially on the medial side) contour closely with the leg. This keeps the brace very low-profile and able to be worn under pads or pants.

As the CTi has no rigid components across the posterior (back) side of the brace, you won’t experience pinching or cramping when pushing, pumping or landing tricks in deep flexion (squat).

For skating, CTi can be ordered with an Anti-Migration System (AMS) at an additional cost. This comfortable neoprene padding configuration virtually eliminates brace slippage, eliminating the annoying hassle of having to constantly adjust your brace under your pads.

Skiing

Knee injuries are high among skiers due to the extreme levels of rotational forces. The CTi is the only ligament knee brace that captures the tibia, locking down securely on the tibial crest to provide an accurately tracking exoskeletal support.

The lightweight and streamline design makes the CTi ideal to be worn under ski suits and the accurately tracking hinges allow unrestricted movement.

The CTi Custom Standard and Super Short models are all recommended for skiing.
