Mobility Clinic on the Snow 2023
The Mobility Clinic on the snow is a 3 day clinic and will give amputees the opportunity to learn the basics of skiing and snowboarding from experts including Joany Badenhorst, Össur Ambassador and snowboarding Paralympian. We invite amputees of all ages and abilities to express their interest in this clinic.
Selected participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice basic snow sport skills, including skiing, snowboarding, or sit skiing. We are pleased to partner once again with the amazing team at DWA. The DWA team are experienced guides who will work with participants to ensure that everyone is comfortable and safe. The event is designed to be inclusive and supportive, so no prior experience is necessary.
Interested amputees are required to fill in an application form below. Due to the limited spots available, each application will be reviewed for eligibility. Please note that we cannot guarantee all applicants will be successful for the event.

What is the Mobility Clinic on the Snow?
The Mobility Clinic on the Snow is a 3-day event designed for amputees to learn basic skills such as skiing, snowboarding and sit skiing.
How much will it cost to attend?
There is no initial charge to express your interest for this event. The Össur Mobility Clinic on the Snow participation fee will be $500 for all selected participants.
All selected participants will receive:
- 2-day lift passes
- Ski/board rental and adaptive equipment
- DWA adaptive snow sport guide
- DWA staff program coordination and support
- 3-days accommodation including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- National park entry
Please note transport is not included. All participants are required to organise their own transportation to and from the event.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Transport to and from Jindabyne/Thredbo will need to be organised by each participant. Onsite parking is available at the accommodation and at Thredbo.
The roads can be unsafe due to snow and ice. For more information, please visit the Thredbo website for road safety requirements.
Can I bring along a partner, parent or carer?
Yes, you can bring along a partner, parent or carer to the Mobility Clinic on the Snow event. Additional costs will be incurred for attending guests.
Where should I book accommodation?
Accommodation is included for all participants attending the Mobility Clinic on the Snow.
Please note this accommodation is shared apartments with shared bathrooms. If you prefer to stay at an alternative accommodation, this will be at your own expense.
