About Us

David has extensive experience dealing with coding, regulatory, and reimbursement issues affecting the O&P industry. He has led successful efforts to obtain codes from Medicare for Össur’s PROPRIO FOOT and POWER KNEE. He lectures regularly and internationally on a wide range of issues while also serving as the Vice President of the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics’ Board of Directors and as a Board Member for the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association.

In addition to his work with Össur R&R, David is the author of a blog (less is more) that focuses on the impact of limb loss and has written numerous articles for different publications. He has appeared on CNN, BBC Radio, and been quoted in the Wall Street Journal. Before joining Össur, David co-founded a successful prosthetic facility in New York and worked for law firms representing insurance companies, doctors, and hospitals.

David earned his B.A. from Williams College and his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.

Linda Collins is the Director of Market Access in Össur’s Reimbursement Department.
In that role, she is responsible for helping identify and explore payer markets while also building relationships with those payers. Ms Collins has over 20 years experience in all phases of managed care including network development, sales, account management and claims/billing. 

Ms Collins has specialized in the DME/Medical Device field for the past ten years and has significant experience with non-surgical orthopedic devices.

She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Masters of Psychology from Arizona State University.  She is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Performance Psychology and the Challenged Athlete.
