Walk for Waves

The Walk for Waves is a coastal walk over a 12 day period to raise awareness and funding to develop Adaptive Surfing in Australia and internationally, provide equipment for Adaptive surfers, resources to facilitate an event and assist competitors to attend events by helping eligible athletes achieve their goals at a World Class level.

Jade 'Red' Wheatley, a double amputee and well-recognised surfer, leads each day of the walk.

How can I get involved?

The Walk for Waves takes place over a 12-day period, including multiple 15 km walks along the coast. Jade will start at approximately 8am each day from the allocated date and starting point and participants can choose to join the walk at any stage of Jade’s journey.
