I purchased the Össur Unloader support a year ago as I was advised by my orthopedic surgeon that it would provide the best support for my left knee. I have used basic pull-on supports in the past but I instantly noticed the difference, this brace was so much more supportive.  The Unloader One Knee Brace is very comfortable., easy to adjust and most importantly, it allows me to walk and jog which is something that was out of the question prior to wearing the brace. 

The brace allows me to walk a full 18 holes around a golf course. I have been able to walk a lot at work, 5-6 kms a day, which was much more difficult for me in the past due to my osteoarthritis, at the end of the day.  My wife was amazed at how well I could move around and walk freely. It’s not a cure for my OA but it certainly allows me to do so many things without much restriction. 

What I enjoy the most is the confidence it gives me to move. It allows me to play with my kids, play golf, work, and go for walks.  I benefit greatly from being active. Three months after receiving the brace I started working a job that requires a lot of walking. Within 2 months I lost 5 kilograms due to the increased exercise. This was all due to the Unloader One Knee Brace, allowing me to walk for hours without restriction. It’s been a God send and I’m so glad I invested the money into purchasing this brace.

The fitting of the brace was expertly carried out by the orthotist Charl who is a very experienced clinician in fitting these supports.  He gave excellent advice about adjusting and cleaning the brace.  He was also very responsive to my enquiries. I highly recommend the Unloader Knee Brace, not only for the support and comfort it provides but for the wonderful service.
