A few key points to remember about telehealth:
- There must be real time video and audio interaction between patient and supplier.
- In order to be qualified as an official telehealth originating site, there must be specific geographic and site requirements met. Learn more here.
- An originating site must be qualified each year. Originating sites are not patient's homes.
- Official telehealth interactions must also include a qualified distant site, which is typically another supplier's location.
