The DME MACs regularly update their educational training schedules. In this post, we provide you an overview of the webinars that might be relevant to you between now and the end of July.


What You Need to Know:

Each of the four DME MACs regularly host educational webinars. Here are the upcoming dates/topics with links for each of the DME MAC regions:

Regions A & D

1.     Jun. 15, 1-2 ET: Lower Limb Prostheses

2.     Jun. 20, 2-3:30 ET: Spinal Orthoses

3.     Jul. 19, 2:30-4 ET: AFO’s/KAFO’s

4.     Jul. 20, 2-3 ET: Claims and Appeals

Regions B & C

1.     Jul. 5, 10:30-12 ET: AFO’s/KAFO’s

2.     Jul. 11, 10:30-12 ET: Lower Limb Prostheses

3.     Jul. 19, 10:30-12 ET: Spinal Orthoses

What This Means for You:

Attending DME MAC webinars allows you to refresh your understanding of the core coverage requirements for different types of prosthetic and orthotic (bracing) devices. In addition, the DME MAC educators usually provide insights into common claims errors, allowing you to continuously improve your clinical documentation and claims processes.
