Annabelle's Story

Annabelle suffered a kneeboarding injury as a child, which led to lower limb weakness and complex regional pain syndrome.

Her mobility and quality of life were significantly impacted, and she relied on a wheelchair for many daily activities.

Motivated to improve, Annabelle pursued orthotic intervention. She now uses a NEURO SWING 2 AFO and is far less reliant on a wheelchair.

In 2025, Annabelle became our first Neuro Orthotics Ambassador in Australia, using her lived experience to support and inspire others navigating a similar journey.

She is currently studying medicine and leads a busy, active life. She enjoys walking her dog and hiking, and is passionate about advocating for people living with disability.

We are proud to support her as she continues to achieve her goals and live an active life.

“Prior to getting my NEURO SWING 2 AFO, I used a wheelchair around 60-70% of the time. Now, I use my NEURO SWING 2 AFO about 90% of the time and only rely on my wheelchair for the remaining 10%.”

“Having my NEURO SWING 2 has been so incredible this New Zealand trip. I’ve been hiking almost every day and even walked 10 km which is the furthest I’ve walked since getting an AFO.”
