I’m Pedro Felício, 43, from Porto, Portugal. I became an amputee at 17 after a work accident, and while that changed a lot, I’ve found my own way forward. Today, I’m a father of two and a content creator who shares what it’s like to live as an amputee. Humor is a big part of my approach—I love making people laugh and giving them an honest look at my life.
In 2009, I was introduced to silicone liners, and they made a real difference. Before then, I was using older socket systems that made everyday tasks difficult and uncomfortable. Switching to the silicone liner improved things a lot; I could put on and take off my prosthesis with ease, and moving around in my day-to-day became a lot more manageable.
The liner has been especially useful in my work. Creating videos means I need flexibility, and with this setup, I can quickly adjust or remove my prosthesis as I go. It helps me stay focused on what I enjoy most—connecting with my audience, bringing humor into my content, and being open about the realities of living with a prosthesis.
More than anything, the liner has helped me feel more comfortable, whether I’m filming or just going about my day. It’s a small part of my routine that makes a big difference, giving me confidence to share my experiences. I always recommend other amputees talk to professionals to find the right liner; when you’re comfortable, it’s easier to live your life the way you want.
