Help Spread the Word: Rescind the Medicare Proposed LCD for Lower Limb Prostheses

Posted by Linda Collins | August 10, 2015

The momentum is growing and we are getting our message out. The Medicare proposed LCD for Lower Limb Prostheses is detrimental to those living with limb loss and to our industry as a whole.

As of this morning, the online petition has over 40,000 signatures.  If each person who has already signed can get three others to sign we will exceed our goal.  Reach out to your family, friends, neighbors…ask them to sign the petition by simply clicking on this link, entering their name, email and zip code.

Easily access the petition at  www.saveprosthetics.org. Be sure to click the confirmation email to activate the signature. We have some reports of people not receiving the confirmation email. In this case, you may need to print a hard copy of the petition, sign it and fax it to The White House. Please do this only if you have challenges with email as we need online signatures to meet the threshold needed for a response from The White House.

All of us need to also contact our House Representatives and Senators. Once you have located your Representative/Senator, send a quick email asking for support in rescinding the proposed LCD. You can easily copy the wording from the online petition and paste it into the comment section of the email. Do this today and ask others to also send an email expressing their concerns.
