In yesterday's post, we included an example of PDAC issuing coding guidance that was at odds with the manufacturer's suggestion.

Specifically, we said, "a manufacturer recommended L5973, L5968, and L5999 for one of its devices; the PDAC ruled in 2013 that only L5999 applied to this product.

However, we failed to note that after the PDAC's intervention, Medicare's HCPCS Coding Workgroup issued a decision in 2014 awarding that product L5973. We apologize for the oversight and any negative inference that might have resulted from it.
