The Ossur Women’s Leadership Initiative announces its call for presentations for the 2020 Annual Conference, August 19-21, 2020 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where our theme will be Envision, Empower, Equality. You are invited to share your thought-provoking, innovative and practical presentation for clinicians, practice managers, and clinic owners.

Educational sessions may not include product or company-specific sales pitches.

Our audience: 

  • We anticipate 120-150 attendees
  • Our conference attracts practitioners, business/clinic managers, practice owners, residents, students, PT’s, and leaders of O&P professional organizations
  • While attendees are predominantly female, our conference is inclusive and open to all genders

  1. Bridging the communication gap between front office, clinicians and technicians
  2. Assertiveness/Leadership/Public Speaking training
  3. Increasing diversity in O&P
  4. Work/life balance
  5. Creating and leading an amputee support group
  6. Conflict resolution

  8. Lifting women up (getting rid of mean girls)/team building to create better work environment
  9. Preparing residents (confidence, interviewing skills, negotiating)
  10. Embracing a multi-professional approach to healing (including surgeons, PT’s, OT’s, CP’s working together)

  12. Being a woman in our profession
