Support Groups

While it helps to share your thoughts, worries, fears and positive experiences with others,  some people find it hardest to talk to the people closest to them.

Many new amputees prefer working through their adjustment with others in the limb loss and limb difference community. Peer support can take many forms, from joining traditional support groups to participating in internet groups or getting individual peer mentoring. However you feel most comfortable, connecting with other amputees may help you adjust to life with an amputation.
