Joany Badenhorst's Pro-Flex Story

For as long as Joany can remember, she has LOVED shoes. Which girl doesn’t? But after losing a leg at the age of 12, finding shoes that would fit a prosthetic foot coupled with the ability to walk comfortably was hard. Don’t even get Joany started on the love/hate relationship with high heels!

For the first time since becoming an amputee, with the Pro-Flex LP Align foot, Joany is able to wear a heel up to 7cm high without compromising function and comfort - let’s just say it’s been one epic adventure!

With the smooth ankle movement and natural walking pattern that the Pro-Flex LP Align helps create, Joany has been able to wear the foot all day without any discomfort or pain, changing shoes for various activities without any issues.

Joany has a dodgy knee which means that prosthetic foot options have to be carefully considered to prevent the knee joint from getting aggravated. This meant always being careful in choosing shoes to wear so that there was no irritating ligaments and joints.
