“We were pleased to have great attendance and participation at our 2017 Women’s Leadership Conference,” said Karen Edwards, Director, Össur Women’s Leadership Initiative (ÖWLI). According to Edwards, female O&P practitioners now comprise 20% of the overall U.S. workforce, and that number continues to increase. “Össur created the ÖWLI Conference to provide programmatic opportunities to develop and strengthen the leadership skills of female O&P practitioners, which ultimately should benefit both patients as well as the profession as a whole,” she said.
