Nearly 100 attendees of the recent Amputee Coalition National Conference, held in Louisville, KY, enjoyed an evening at the ballpark, hosted by Össur. Conference attendee and Össur Ambassador, Jake Adams, who uses iDigits from Touch Bionics by Össur, threw out the opening pitch of the game, and seven-year-old attendee Logan Seitz had the honor of calling “Play Ball!” on field to kick off the first inning. It was even featured on the local evening news.

According to the Amputee Coalition, there was record attendance at this year’s national conference, the largest gathering for people affected by limb loss in the world, with 1245 registered attendees. Össur is the Amputee Coalition’s Platinum Sponsor, hosting both the baseball outing as well as two inspirational Mobility Clinics where nearly 170 amputees had the opportunity to achieve their running and mobility goals – whether learning to walk again or fine-tuning their speed skills in sprinting – lead by Bob Gailey, Ph.D., PT, a world-renowned gait expert.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time with the attendees at the 2017 Amputee Coalition National Conference, and look forward to participating again next year,” said Kim De Roy, CPO/PT, Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Education, Prosthetics for Össur Americas.
