Mauch's hydraulic knee control offers proven reliability, a smooth natural gait and a high level of flexibility for more active lifestyles.

The unique weight-bearing yielding feature of the stance control allows the user to descend stairs or ramps foot over foot and to sit down in a more natural manner. It is fully adjustable to accommodate various sizes, weights and activity levels.

Mauch Gaitmaster with SNS^® Hydraulic Unit

• Cadence response capability
• Automatically adapts to changes in cadence.
• The SNS provides 3 modes of operation including swing and stance control, manual locking knee, and swing phase only.
• A prolonged hyperextension moment disengages the stance control in a SNS®. This enables the amputee to properly flex the knee during gait. Also, this feature allows an individual to "jack-knife" down steps and facilitates entry into a car.
• The stance control enables an individual to descend stairs and hills step over step as well as it allows the amputee to gradually lower himself/herself into a chair.
• The amount of stance control in the SNS is adjustable.
• The swing control settings for flexion and extension can be individually adjusted. 
• The adjustable stance control provides stumble recovery.
• The knee system is available in a low resistance unit which utilizes a lower viscosity oil. The lower viscosity oil decreases flexion and extension resistance by 15%.
• The cylinder weighs 530 g (18 oz.).
• The standard SNS hydraulic units fit knee frames from Ossur and other knee manufacturers.
