The Iceross Seal-In X5 incorporates a series of five integrated seals that conform to the shape of the residual limb and the internal socket wall, providing an airtight seal.
The Iceross Seal-In X5 liner represents a major advance in suction suspension technology.
Suction sockets no longer require a time-consuming, complicated donning procedure. With the Iceross Seal-In Liners, it's now a simple, straightforward process. The user simply rolls on the liner, steps into the socket, and is ready to go!
Experience the comfort of silicone in a liner designed specifically for people with above-knee (transfemoral) amputations, shaped to fit the thigh, not the calf.
The X5 part of the name comes from the five rings which produce an airtight seal as the user steps into the socket. The liner and the rings conform beautifully to the shape of the residual limb and the inside of the socket. This creates an excellent fit and helps to distribute pressure evenly and avoid uncomfortable pressure peaks.
There is no need for a sleeve (sometimes used with other liners to keep the socket in place), which means greater freedom of movement. A button on the socket valve releases the airtight seal instantly, allowing the user to step out of the socket as easily as they step in, or simply release it while seated.
If you think Iceross Seal-In X5 could be the socket interface you have been looking for, discuss it as an option with your prosthetist.
Iceross Seal-In X5 transtibial liner is available with the Wave feature for improved flexion at the knee.
The wave feature makes the liner easier to flex at the knee, allowing it to adapt more to the user's movements. Less resistance means that less energy is required to flex the knee. It stretches easily over the patella and effectively controls folding of the liner behind the knee, reducing vaso-constriction and positively influencing blood-circulation in this area.
