Iceross^® Synergy Liner

Active and sporty lifestyles require a liner that can really stabilize soft tissues in the residual limb effectively. Fortunately, the Iceross Synergy option means active people can get the liner they want, without having to compromise on comfort.

This double layer silicone design has a soft, shock-absorbing inner layer which nurtures the skin and helps protect the limb from impact. On the outside is a stiffer layer of silicone that stabilizes soft skin tissue, creating a firm and secure fit within the socket. This is important because the less the residual limb moves within the socket, the less tiring and the more comfortable it is to walk.

The technical stuff

The synergy of the dual durometer silicone creates the maximum stability, hence the name of this liner. The stabilizing matrix, a patented fabric weave integrated within Iceross liners, prevents the liner from being stretched up and down when in use (a movement called pistoning). This also helps to stabilize soft tissues and ensures a more responsive performance all round. Iceross Synergy incorporates Aloe Vera and Vaseline^® for active skincare. It is also available with the Wave feature (optional).

The Iceross Wave feature

When flexing, sitting or bending the knee, Iceross users can now experience greater freedom of movement as a result of Össur's advanced silicone technology.

The Wave feature makes the liner easier to flex at the knee, allowing it to adapt more to the user's movements. It is designed so that the material stretches effectively at the front and folds in a controlled way behind the knee, making it easier to flex.
