The share capital of the Company is 453,750,000 and is dividied into the same amount of shares. There is only one class of shares and all shares carry one vote. As of 31 December 2011 Össur holds 5,017,992 treasury shares. In 2011, Össur acquired 5 million treasury shares in connection with the Company’s obligations under its share option agreements.
Since October 2005 William Demant has been a leading shareholder in Össur with around 40% holding. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Össur since 2006 is Niels Jacobsen, President and CEO of William Demant Holding A/S.
