Amputee Coalition of America

Amputee Coalition of AmericaEducation is equally important when it comes to pursuing a Life Without Limitations. Which is why Össur supports the efforts of the Amputee Coalition, a national U.S. non-profit formed in 1989 to offer continued education, mentoring, peer support and consumer advocacy. In 2011, Össur joined forces with the Amputee Coalition and Johns Hopkins University to create a unprecedented, nationwide program to help prosthetists address the emotional needs of people with limb loss. The program is an example of the type of innovative partnerships that are needed to better address the health care needs of amputees.
