Flex-Foot Assure is the perfect solution for the diabetic and vascular amputee population. Flex-Foot Assure incorporates basic Flex-Foot® technology that allows for a soft, smooth roll over allowing for a stable gait with the benefits of dynamic response.
Building on the proven dynamics and energy return features of the original Flex-Foot, the Flex-Foot Assure is ideal as a first prosthesis or a more permanent option for the less active, particularly those experiencing poor vascular health and/or diabetes. Designed For Slower Speed Walkers
Designed specifically for slower speed walkers, Flex-Foot Assure incorporates an active heel combined with the full length keel that work together to protect the vulnerable sound limb. The proven design and simple fit of Flex-Foot Assure allows basic ambulators to take advantage of premium technology just right for them.
Flex-Foot Assure Features
Confidence and good health are important factors in rehabilitation. That’s why Flex-Foot Assure has been designed and proven to reduce the amount of energy needed to walk. As the user steps forward, a smooth ‘roll-over’ motion occurs (as weight shifts from the heel, over the center of the foot, and then up off the toe). This contributes to a comfortable, natural gait while simultaneously reducing the stress and strain on the body associated with prosthetic use. The famous Flex-Foot technology also ensures good energy return from this lightweight foot when walking.
Importantly, the combination of these improvements in gait has a direct and positive influence on health and the potential deterioration of the sound side.

The technical stuff
Flex-Foot Assure incorporates an active carbon fiber heel combined with a full length keel. The two work together to help protect both the residual and sound limb. The foot helps to minimize levels of stress and strain through enhanced shock absorption, better balance and body symmetry. A closed-cell foam heel wedge aids the transition from heel to toe and provides a cushioning effect at heel strike.
