Össur - Life Without Limitations

RHEO KNEE®

RHEO KNEE

The redesigned RHEO KNEE is an advanced prosthetic device that liberates its users to focus on their chosen activity, instead of having to think about how they are walking.

New developments in Össur's proven bionic technology mean that the RHEO KNEE can recognize and respond even better to the most subtle changes in walking speed and terrain. Using sophisticated artificial intelligence, it continuously learns and adapts to an amputee's walking style and environment.

As a result, it restores people's ability to walk naturally, comfortably and confidently at any speed.

RHEO KNEE also offers outcome documentation to help you better manage reimbursement risk as the new RHEOLOGIC Workbench offers unmatched ability to document RHEO KNEE users’ actual cadence variation and K3 performance.

The RHEO KNEE is made with

The RHEO KNEE is now available with a female pyramid insert or a Threaded Top adapter ideal for knee disarticulation amputees, those with long transfemoral residual limb or where the low build height is required.

RHEO KNEE Highlights

  • Strong design - now for use by people weighing up to 275lbs / 125kg.
  • Light weight and streamlined, anatomical shape - for easy cosmetic covering.
  • Extremely smooth swing extension - for natural, confident, energy-efficient gait.
  • Optimum stance support - for unparalleled safety, even for less agile, heavier or compromised users.
  • Plug and play design - for fully automated set up and continuous adaptation, ensuring a straightforward experience for CPOs and users alike (includes Bluetooth wireless communication between the knee and PDA).
  • Thanks to its limited build height, the RHEO KNEE is fully compatible with the Flex-Foot range. Together they deliver maximum performance and an extraordinarily natural gait experience.
  • Available with a threaded top adapter where low build height is required.

Patient Profile

  • Community and workplace ambulators with the ability or potential for cadence variation and ramp/stair descent.
  • Knee disarticulation amputees, those with long transfemoral residual limb or where the low build height is required can utilize the RHEO KNEE with Threaded Top adapter.

RHEOLOGIC and RHEOLOGIC Workbench Software

Only RHEO KNEE® offers outcome documentation to help you better manage reimbursement risk. New RHEOLOGIC Workbench software gives you the unmatched ability to document your RHEO KNEE user’s actual cadence variation and K3 performance over time.

RHEOLOGIC Workbench Reports features

  • Tie activity report results back to medical necessity and other clinical outcomes.
  • Add to patient's file or provide to referring physician to give feedback on patient's progress.
  • View user’s actual cadence variation over time (cadence distribution updates dynamically as user walks on their RHEO KNEE).
  • Access dynamic indication of user's anterior-posterior loading.

The RHEOLOGIC Workbench has an unmatched ability to improve your clinical documentation for payers and better manage your reimbursement risk. Document your RHEO KNEE® user’s true activity level by printing an Activity Report of data collected on the RHEO KNEE.

For more information, please see the RHEOLOGIC Workbench brochure or contact your Össur representative today.

*New RHEOLOGIC software replaces the RHEO KNEE PDA and runs on Microsoft Windows® XP operating system or later.

Proven results

A new study published in Germany explores the advantages of microprocessor knees and provides scientific evidence that highlights significant benefits for RHEO KNEE users. These include easier walking on stairs and slopes, fewer problems with adapting to different speeds and uneven surfaces, and a reduction in both the fear of falling and the need to concentrate when walking.
