Össur Americas takes great pride in its powerful service ethic, listening and responding to the diverse needs of customers across the United States, Canada and Mexico. A highly qualified and experienced management team is led by President Mahesh Mansukhani, who is also on the Board of Directors for the Amputee Coalition.
Mr. Mansukhani has an M.A. degree in Multinational Accounting and Financial Management from Reading University in England, an M.Phil. Finance degree from Warwick Business School in England and an MBA from Yale University in the United States.
Bill joined Össur in 2009 with extensive experience in manufacturing operations. At Eastman Kodak, he held many leadership positions supporting equipment manufacturing and engineering. He spent six years living in Mexico and Brazil establishing new manufacturing and design centers, and later became the Worldwide Leader of Quality and Lean Manufacturing for their $500M Camera business. Just prior to Össur, he was Vice President of Manufacturing for the world’s largest slide fastener company.
Bill has an engineering degree from Penn State University, and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
Steve joined Össur Americas after serving as Director of Finance for Generation II, which was acquired by Össur in 2003. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles on the Americas Management team, including Finance, General Management, Information Technology and, most recently, Sales Operations and Customer Service.
Prior to Össur and Generation II, Steve was Controller for a Canadian professional hair care products firm. He was born in England and lived in Hong Kong and Canada before settling in Orange County, CA with his wife and two daughters in 2007.
Steve is a Certified General Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia.
Otto Fernandez joined Össur Americas in 2009 and has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in such diverse industries as industrial and pharmaceutical packaging; printing; ballistics; logistics, and retail point-of-purchase consulting. Previously, he held regional and global leadership positions with DuPont, where he worked in the company’s Tyvek, Kevlar and Imaging Technologies businesses.
Otto has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Americas, Mexico City and a Masters in Business Economics from Tec de Monterrey.
Amanda Miller joined Össur in 2010 following successful tenure in leadership roles including Director of Marketing and New Business Development at a Class II Medical Device company, Medela, Inc, and as the lead for a Global Business Development group specializing in energy storage and filtration system for DuPont Nonwovens. Amanda brings over 13 years’ experience of proven leadership in industry related positions including R&D, sales, marketing, product development, and global business development.
Amanda holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Pamela joined Össur Americas in 2011 after serving as Vice President of Human Resources for Advantage Sales & Marketing, a $1 billion consumer products services company. She previously held senior HR roles with ConAgra Foods, PepsiCo and CitiGroup.
Pamela earned her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, and her MBA from New York University.
David has extensive experience dealing with coding, regulatory, and reimbursement issues affecting the O&P industry. He led a successful effort in 2010 to get Medicare to create a code for Össur’s PROPRIO FOOT, and obtained a favorable initial decision to create a new code for POWER KNEE earlier this year. He lectures regularly and internationally on a wide range of issues while also serving as the Vice President of the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics’ Board of Directors.
He is the author of a blog (less is more) that focuses on the impact of limb loss, has written numerous articles for different publications, and has appeared on CNN, BBC Radio, and been quoted in the Wall Street Journal. Before joining Össur, David co-founded a successful prosthetic facility in New York and worked for law firms representing insurance companies, doctors, and hospitals.
David earned his B.A. from Williams College and his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
